Notes

  1. You can boil between 4-12 eggs at one go. If you need to boil more than 12 eggs, then it's best to start another batch.
  2. A cup of water is sufficient for boiling 4-12 eggs. Use at-least 1 cup of water, and there is no need to increase the quantity of water when you increase the number of eggs.
  3. Whether you are boiling 4 eggs or 12 eggs, the cook time stays the same. 5 mins on high pressure. However, the Instant Pot will take time to come to pressure before the cooking cycle starts, and this time can vary.
  4. If you don’t have ice, running the eggs through cold water will work in a pinch.
  5. If the 5-5-5 method of pressure cooking-pressure release-ice bath doesn’t work for you, use it as a baseline, and adjust the time by a minute or so, to suit your preferences.
  6. You can store hard boiled eggs (peeled or unpeeled) in the refrigerator for a week. However, avoid keeping hard boiled eggs at room temperature for too long before refrigerating them.
